Mark and Robert Burrows, Jay Hirst and I were on site yesterday. Mark and Robert barred the power unit round, rotated and oiled the four turbos, then did some more cleaning and scraping off loose paint around the electrical cubicle. Jay and I searched for the brake frame electrical conduits in our storage, finding most of the parts, discovering in the process several of the joints were broken, and all had severed wiring still in them, which we removed. All four of us then placed the recognisable sections of conduit temporarily in place on the brake frame to see what is missing and what damaged parts need to be replaced. I bought an aluminium junction box, reinforced flexible hose and industrial connector strip to terminate the existing cables to the brake frame that are still extant, so when the new cabling is installed, they can be joined together.
